Verizon Smartphone Deals – After more than a year of waiting, RED’s Hydrogen One smartphone almost arrived. Verizon and AT & T announced this morning that they would start selling cellphones this Friday, November 2, for $ 1,295. Both offer it on a monthly payment plan, of course: Verizon will offer a 24-month plan, and AT & T will offer a 30-month plan.
At $ 1,295, a $ 100 phone is more expensive than for customers who agreed to book in the past summer when it was first announced. At that time, RED CEO Jim Jannard said a cheaper price would not be guaranteed for people who did not order before, so the initial user finally got a small discount.

The Hydrogen One was originally supposed to be launched in early 2018, but was pushed back several times. Because of the delay, it was launched with the Snapdragon 835 chip – a processor seen in all flagship last year – not the Snapdragon 845 seen on phones like the Pixel 3 and Galaxy S9.
But the specification isn’t really the story here. The big problem is Hydrogen One’s “holographic” screen which is very hyped, which is only a few that can be seen before. It is also capable of recording in 3D format specifically for this mobile screen.
I have been testing cell phones for the past week, and I have to tell you: it doesn’t match the hype. And with a price tag of $ 1,295, I think it will be very difficult to compete with the XS iPhone and almost everything else.
