All you need is a browser, where you read this tutorial, and a smartphone, where you want to do various activities on the link or URL. This trick works in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. It works like a charm.
So, let’s start with a tutorial for Chrome and Firefox. Make sure you are allowed to add plugins to the browser if you use a shared computer, or a computer in several institutions.
Step 1: Open the Chrome Web Store and search for ‘Quick QR Code Generator’. You can even open the following link to directly open the application page. Click ‘Add to Chrome’ to add it to your Chrome browser.
Step 2: After being added to the Chrome browser, you can find the icon for the application in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Now visit your favorite website from the Chrome browser and click on the Quick QR Code Generator icon. When doing that, you will immediately get the QR code for the website link. You can even download the QR code by clicking the ‘Save image’ button just below the ‘QR’ button.
Step 4: Now you only need to remove your smartphone and scan the same to visit the direct link on your smartphone. There is no difficulty in marking, sending or sharing links in helpless situations.
Most smartphones are equipped with pre-installed QR code and barcode scanners, and if your smartphone supports Google Lens, you can easily scan the QR code with Google Lens by opening a Google Assistant.
This is one of the best QR code generators that you can use to create QR codes from links without hassle. This is a direct QR code generator, which means that you can even edit the link manually in the QR code box, and changes will be made directly in the QR code image itself.
You can even change some settings for the application to change things your way, don’t let it not meet your needs, or you want some kind of customized results. But the default settings must work perfectly, and I would not recommend you to change the settings for the application.
Step 5: Just right-click on the application icon and click on ‘Options’.
Step 6: Settings will open in a new tab, where you can change the size of the QR output code image. The default size is 300 pixels.
Step 7: You can even change the foreground and background colors and set the background to transparent too. When you’re done, tap on ‘Save’ and your settings will be changed according to your needs.
In Mozilla Firefox
Step 1: The steps are very similar in Mozilla Firefox, too. Just open the Mozilla Firefox add-on page. You can directly visit the Mozilla Firefox add-on page here.
Step 2: Now find the add-on “QR Code Image Generator”. You can even visit the add-on download page via this link. Click ‘Add to Firefox’ to download and install it.
Step 3: After the installation is complete, you can get the same icon in the upper right corner of the browser where all of your add-on icons exist.
Step 4: Now visit your favorite website, and click the add-on icon to get the QR code for the link you have visited. The QR code will now be directly available to you. You can even save the QR code to your computer’s local storage by clicking the link that appears at the very bottom of the application window.
Unfortunately, there are not many options for organizing or configuring the following Firefox add-ons, but you can even create QR Codes for normal plaintext by clicking the ‘Free text’ tab.
If you want to continue on the website or want to continue reading articles on your smartphone after turning off your computer or laptop, this is the best way to share links from a computer to a smartphone. No problem, which platform you use, whether on your computer or smartphone. Maybe it’s Windows, Linux, or Mac, or Android or iOS on your smartphone, this tutorial should work perfectly for you. Unfortunately, you cannot share a link from a smartphone to your computer through this tutorial, and therefore, this is a one-way solution. Well, there is something better than nothing.
